This week’s discussion is about silence.
This is such an important topic that most of us do not give time nor priority to. French philosopher Blaise Pascal said “all of humanity’s problems stem from man’s inability to sit quietly in a room alone.” Today, we’ll talk about the need for silence and why we seem to have so much trouble being in it, as well as how and why it’s essential to our health and leadership.
There are several studies that show leaders who put priority on silence are able to see reality more clearly, act purposefully and without their own reactivity getting in the way, and even improve their health. For example, sitting in silence can lower blood pressure and improve blood circulation in the brain.
We hope you enjoy this episode so that you can experience, for yourself, the importance of silence and what you can do to implement it in your life right now.
